Started:
This week I was able to start on some place-mats for my sister's birthday.
We are celebrating it in a week and a half (panic!!)
While my husband was in Vegas for work last week I was able to get everything cut out.
(Anybody else get neck aches from cutting too long?
And when I try to watch TV and do my cutting at the coffee table, my back hurts... a lot.
But, I still so it!)

And one completed!

So only 7 more left to assemble!
Still in Progress:
The HST quilt.
I was able to get all of the rows completed.
And since I was on a roll, I decided to start putting the rows together.
That's when I found the mistake.
See it?
It was too late in the evening to deal with it.
So there it sat....
(not in the window, but on the floor).
This weekend will hopefully be busy with finishing those place-mats!

Oh, I have the fabric for the placemats in one of my quilts and I just love what you're doing with it! Love, love, love!
ReplyDeleteOn the HST...a strip for the back maybe 'cause it's too pretty to rip up!
pretty projects, as for the mistake I am with Dee.. maybe use it for the back. unless you like ripping seams.lol
ReplyDeleteOh, bummer about those HSTs! That's totally happened to me before. They're beautiful though!
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up to WIP Wednesday, have a great week.
The place mats are so cute! You know that HST strip could be the beginning of another quilt or, as Amy said, a nice strip for the back.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh!!! I love your placemats! The fabrics that you used are so cool...love the colors. Are they all going to be different? I made these too and really love them!
