2011 Wednesday WIP #8

It has been another busy few weeks outside of my basement sewing room.
I do have new progress on a couple of things to report on though.

Owl Laptop Sleeve
I first wrote about this here.
Since then it has just sat there.
However, on Sunday I picked it up and almost completed it.
Right now all it is waiting for is a cute button and a beak.

I did some owl outline quilting on the front

and some diagonal quilting on the back.

My original idea was to have the long side open.
You know how projects change though.
For now, this is where it sits.
Hopefully not for too long.

Dr. Seuss Charity Quilt/ Tablecloth
I wrote about this and and explanation behind it here.
I finally worked up the nerve to cut into this fabric.
I have a plan for it in my head, but I think it will turn out completely different.

Here are some of the blocks.
I don't think I like them like this, so I may rework them!
We'll see what I am led to do.
I am still nervous about cutting this all up.

Besides those, not much else has moved along.
Head on over to see what progress other's have made this week.
