I've Been Tagged

I have been tagged by M-R at Quilt Matters.

So here goes:

1. What is your favourite book?

Well, the last good book I read was The Hunger Games.

But I also REALLY loved The Help.

I read both before I knew they would be movies.

2. If you could have dinner with one person, living or dead, who would it be?

My paternal Grandpa.

I have never met him, but I hear he was a pretty awesome guy.

3. When you free motion quilt, do you drop the feed dogs or quilt with them up?
Well, I have barely FMQed.

But I have tried both.

And I think I like them up...

4. What is your proudest quilting moment?

When I was taking my first class (see question below) I was the quickest one.
I loved it.
I think it was because I had the basic understanding of sewing (thanks mom!)
And also because I love math!

5. When did you know you were hooked on quilting?

After my first class for a Christmas Table Runner.

I loved the math of it.

6. What is your favourite place in the world? Why?

Home.

Its where my family is and where I feel the most comfortable.

I can start there and go anywhere in the world.

7. What is a little known fact about you?

I am an engineer.

Its not little known to my friends and family...

but it is probably little known to the blogging world.

8. If you were given $1,000 that you could spend on anything for YOU, what would you spend it on -- clothes, shoes, fabric? Something else?

A vacation!

I love traveling.

Probably a Sandals Vacation (but I can take the hubs.... right?)

9. What is your favourite quilt that you made?

Tough one.

Either the Suess one or the HST one...

10. What is your favourite quilt that someone else made?

Right now I am loving "French Kisses" by Tracey at Tracey Jay Quilts.

11. If you could be any character in a book, which one would it by and why?
Hmmmm, this is a hard one.
Maybe Belle from Beauty & The Beast.... that's a book right?
