Outdoor Tablecloth

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I have had this fabric specifically for this project for almost a year.
It was so easy, I started and finished it in one evening.
2 hours.
The pictures are not the best because the lens fogged up the second I opened the door to go outside.
It is so hot and muggy here (88 degrees, feels like 110 at 9pm!!!), but I think everyone is feeling that.
Anyway, here it is.
Before:
This table used to be my husband's dining room table, back when I met him.
He had this awesome house, with great furniture.... and this table.
He did upgrade eventually, and now this is our deck table.
Its a tiny bit rusty.
I just wanted something a little more... decorative.
After:
The wind here in SW Minnesota is REALLY bad.
I wanted to make something that would be outside all of the time and just need wiping off.
But it also had to stay in place.
This is what I came up with.
Outdoor fabric with a casing and elastic around it.
Because I bought this fabric so cheap, and this was only an idea in my head,
I bought way too much of it.
So now I will have to think of more wind-proof deck ideas to make...
See what else I finished here.
Then go see what everyone else finished:
Luv,
KristyLou
  1. Thats a really smart idea. We have windy summers as well so its a really good idea. Im so tired of my tablecloth always laying across the table
  2. That's a great idea. You could use some of your extra fabric to make some cute pillows for that bench in the background. You could make some ties so you can tie them to the deck railing to keep them from blowing away in the wind :)
  4. Very smart idea! It looks neat no matter what the weather! I know you will figure out what to do with the rest and you might even want to make a second one for your table....just in case!
