A lot of new things going on this week.
First, there's Larry.
We adopted him Saturday.
(The dog, not the guy :) )
He's crazy, but so good!
Second there's the reusable coffee sleeve I made.
I used a paper one for the pattern to cut out the pieces.
The process still needs some work.
But I sure like it.
It was supposed to be for my sister who visited last weekend.
But just as I was finishing it up, and she was on her way into town,
she called because she was lost.
So I got all distracted trying to find which road in Iowa she was on, on Google Maps.
I finally got her back on track to Minnesota!
Hence the finish this week.

Third, there is this quilting.
I have used the basting spray on little things a lot.
Now I am trying it on a big quilt without any other basting types.
I am not sure if that is a good idea.
So far it is mostly working.
And fourthly, posting on TNT is new to me.
Go check it out.
Post something new and look at what everyone else is doing too!

Cute dog, cute coffee holder and really nice quilt. I've only used spray baste on my quilts. I love it, but I do stitch in the ditch to lock it in because I'm always afraid it will slip and it takes me forever to quilt a quilt. I use 505 spray, what do you use?
ReplyDeleteI have never tried the spray baste before. Guess that will be a new tnt for me. Love the quilt and the coffee holder!!!
ReplyDeleteThis spray on basting looks like it has promise. Congrats on the dog! He's super cute!
ReplyDeleteGreat projects!! I love the coffee sleeve!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great quilt! I used spray basting for the first time, and it was 'okay' but definitly a learning process. What a cutie pie you adopted.
