The Camera Scoop

Up until about 2 1/2 weeks ago, this was my camera

I had been needing a new one, and have noticed a lot of people with DSLRs.

I admit, I was scared to try one of these.

I was afraid I would get it and never know how to use anything but automatic mode.

But I decided if I got the camera before kids, I should have time to figure it out, right?

So here it is.

I have spent the last week going through these tutorials and book.

And I have to say I learned a lot.

I somewhat understand all the functions and variability you can play with.

I just need to get out there and shoot a ton!

I already have a pinterest board ready to go with what I need next.

I need better weather and more people to take pictures of.

Right now, Larry is my only subject.

But at least he likes it when I take his picture.

If you have any tips or resources, let me know!

I have to say though, even pictures in auto mode are WAY awesome compared to my point and shoot.
